Confronting the Reality Fumoto Plastic Hose Barb's Unfortunate Truth

I'm going to build a "custom" oil catch can, and I need to buy fittings. Can someone confirm the inner diameter of the OEM PCV hose? I have an 8” piece of old fuel hose I connect to the fumoto when ... I have the short version which comes with a plastic barbed fitting that snaps ... The last time I did it, I hooked up my vacuum pump, hose to hose and sucked it out. ... Fumoto would work without some combination of fittings ... Not sellers fault they even refunded me $30 for the radiator being bent so I agreed can't complain they were very understanding just sucks to have a damaged ... Even the optional elbow fitting looks to drop too low. My solution replaced the OEM drain plug w/ a banjo bolt, w/ the hose fittings coming out ... ... tube' using the supplied rubber compression fittings. It seems to me that one would be able to do a more complete oil change by sucking oil ... Then you just snap in a plastic adapter for the hose. But it looks ... Boeray 5pcs Hose Barb 3/16" Barb to 1/8" Male NPT Thread Adapter ... finger around ends of hoses at fitting for seepage. <--- Please fill ... I found a tiny crack in the plastic of the radiator near the drain plug ... I installed a Fumoto valve and now consider it to have been a waste of money. First, it has such a small diameter drain hole and tube that it ... The hardest part was tightening the hoses to the base where the old filter was. Do yourself a favor and make sure you have an open end wrench, ...
