HPFP's Nemesis Unmasked Tappet Wear - A Silent Threat

Just replaced my HPFP on Saturday and pulled the cam follower to inspect. Looked great after 40k miles, virtually no evidence of wear. Thank you ... Yes, the HPFP is driven by a separate lobe on the cam. It's located on the passenger side valve cover. It's normal for HPFPs to make an audible ticking/ ... Fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs & wires high pressure fuel pump, injectors.. ALL HAVE THE SAME SYMPTOMS 😅 That ticking is normal from the engine compartment where the HPFP is located (cam-driven). On the 3.5L it should sit on the top of the valve ... If it's blocked, maybe Brakleen or Gumout, something with solvent and pressure. If it's open and simply being maintained, I'd imagine regular canned air would ... The revised intake camshaft ensures the HPFP cam lobe meet the correct hardness spec and does not wear out prematurely.
