If you have no power at pin 30, then either the fuse is no good or has no power, or the wiring between the fuse block and the relay is damaged. There are several different reasons the BCM will not send a signal to the starter relay. One could be a simple popped fuse. Check the starter motor solenoid itself. The wire that operates the solenoid is a simple push on affair and often falls off. The Factory service manual says that the starter uses 0.95kw at 12V. that works out to only 79.16 Amps. This new starter worked for a day and a half and now when trying to start the car the sterter whines and spins but the bendex doesn't engage. Turning the key to on results in the car trying to start. The starter relay (I think that's what it is called) behind the radio whines ... It's possible that the relay is the problem but normally, a bad starter relay just keeps the bike from starting and doesn't affect the rest of the electrical ... If I jump power to solenoid the starter turns the engine fine. Follow the solenoid lead back to the fuse block under hood and it is on a plug with one other ... When the key is turned to Start, power comes to the relay coil from the ignition switch, and pin 16 would normally be at or near ground voltage. A solenoid would be ON the starter (the smaller cylinder). There is no difference between the 2 large terminals.
