Tackling P0018 Fuel Pressure Sensor Diagnosis and Repair

The P0018 code is due to a worn or internally leaking variable valve control solenoid. This solenoid is similar to an automatic transmission shift solenoid. The mechanic said the code is p0018 bank2 sensor A, also cylinders 2,4,6 are misfiring. Any idea what this could be? There is a lot to this code and it has several meanings.
