Resolve the P0018 Error Troubleshooting and Solutions

This code is for Bank 2 which I believe is the driver side. I have pulled the VVT solenoids from that bank and cleaned them and they seem to work. I have P0018 Crankshaft position in relation to bank 2 intake camshaft (Above upper limit value) with my PIWIS, and it misfires and stumbles at idle. P0018 is defined as a Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation. The engine control module (PCM) uses a signal from the camshaft position sensor. P0018 - Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 2 Sensor A) ... I have a 2007 saturn outlook with code p0018. My mechanic told ... I have a A4 with the 3.2 FSI V6 (2009). I've changed the upper timing chain tensioners. Since then, I have the P0018 and P0019 fault codes. They confirmed that based on the code and other variables I noted that it's more likely than not the ECU and that the sprocket may also need replacing. There are 3 that relate to CAM Shaft (Cam Shaft Position Sensor, Hydraulic Valve Actuator and Hydraulic Actuator) The furthest back one, the CAM ... The diagnosis: cam phaser bank 2 does not work. To fix it, the engine has to be taken out, including parts the estimate was about CHF 6500. The code pointed to the crankshaft position sensor (and timing chain, potentially) The adviser got a hold of the tech and got more clarity. The code is a red herring. Having valve timing way out is usually quite drastic. That would point towards a camshaft timing gear or something like that.
