Captivating Vibrations Subwoofer-Enhanced Rear View Mirror

Some mirrors are "stiffer" than others in the pivot joint. I had a rear view mirror in my Chrysler that would droop as soon as the bass hit. I ... At speeds between 80-95mph, the rearview mirror image starts to vibrate such that the image appears to bounce and become blurry. I went to a auto sound meet and saw some interesting things. For one, some peoples subwoofers are a more serious kind of bass than I thought ... This is common with all vehicles, bass = vibration. Get a nice 12" sub and turn it up and watch what vibrates! :). Take it off and get back up sensors. If you've got lots of bass, ten your mirror will just rattle and point in funny directions. There's not a ... A vibrating mirror was the first symptom I had of a failing rear U joint in my '10 OR. As it got worse I could feel it in my backside on the seat. Sounds like your rear view is in the "sweat" spot of the cab layout and your sub placement. With the sub being permanently in place you cannot move it a little. The mirror needs to be vibration free during normal operation (stiff suspension is not relevant, the mirror has to be vibration free to work ... If you position the mirror so it's pointing down, you'll see there is a plastic cover that snaps on. I bet that's what is vibrating. [SIGPIC] ... Or doesn't it bother you?
