I hooked up my OBD reader to the car and it gave me code P0030, I goggled that and got the result that my O2 sensor in Bank 1 is bad. The pre-cat sensor is used to calculate the fuel / air mixture whilst the post-cat is simply used to make sure the cat is working properly. The best thing to do would probably be to try replacing the O2 sensor and see if that eliminates the check engine light.
