Dynamic Perspective Vibrating Rear Mirror for Audiophiles

I use some rubber washers in between the mirror mounts. It helped a lot but didn't totally fix the problems. Once mine RPMs are higher it ... Vibrating mirrors solved. Found an old mirror from an old ford pickup and was able to mount it to my 2022 SP 570. Had to add a bracket to get it to stop ... This is common with all vehicles, bass = vibration. Get a nice 12" sub and turn it up and watch what vibrates! :). Here is Chris with Precision Auto Glass in Layton Utah showing you a tech tip on how to fix the rattling rear view mirror. If you position the mirror so it's pointing down, you'll see there is a plastic cover that snaps on. I bet that's what is vibrating. [SIGPIC] ... You could try taking apart the mirror and putting a bit of sound deadening material on the inside. The problem is mainly due to the mirror being mounted to a arm off of the roof, creating a moment arm/cantilever effect. I can confirm this as well. Bumps and music cause the mirror to vibrate. Also had this problem on my '11 Malibu LTZ. Problem seems to increase ... Check and see if u can tighten a screw or bolt in back to hold it in place better. There should be like a set screw i would imagine around ... My mirror vibrates anywhere I go, if I touch it the vibration stops then resumes shortly. I cannot seem to find a way to tighten this up.
