Unmasking the Truth Deciphering Oil on Spark Plugs for Engine Diagnosis

The oil on the threads is from blow by and that it is normal operation. Car still runs well since installing new plugs. If there is oil in the bottom of the well chances are the valve cover gasket is leaking. There is a seal around the bottom of each well.
