Got P0073 Ambient air sensor circuit high input. Reconfigured instrument panel to show air temperature, showing +185F Opened up wheelwell, saw new wiring ... Code p0073. Just put new mirrors on my 2015 dura max and now have this code for ambient air temp. Is this related to the mirror swap or ... ... P0073 code and CEL . The radiator issue was on a TSB involving the HVAC. So hopefully everything is good to go now. Like. Reactions ... The P0073 does say ambient air temp circuit high. It is a duramax. The temperature on the dash is reading like it should. Maybe I need to ... My code reader shows Ambient Air Tenperature Sensor Circuit High. Has anyone had this issue? Where is the sensor located? The car runs fine. Similar to what leads me to join (Google searched). Have code for outside temp sensor P0073 Ambient air temperature sensor high output. When u unplug that u will get a new code p0073 and u will see the temperature indicator on the dash while the car is on, go crazy. Plug it ... It turned out to be the ambient air temperature sensor in the passenger mirror. It looks like a nightmare to switch out the sensor and also re-wire it. I soldered the wire back together and the temp now reads correctly and the CEL is staying off after clearing the code. Attached: Back. All ... After getting the P0073 code, I replaced the sensor but it was still going in and out. Replaced the wiring harness, still nothing.
