The ABS light goes on when your car wants to tell you that there is something wrong in your ABS system. The ESP comes on when something changes ... All three, ABS/Traction/ESP BAS lights come on at once. I drove it a couple days later and the lights were still on. The car feels no different when driving ... The ESP light relates to the "Electronic Stability Control" which helps the handling around high speed cornering and the BAP light is the "Brake assist program" The BAS/ESP lamp will light up if any fault is found that would/could effect your braking (BAS) or traction control (ESP). The esp/bas light stared to come on , but would go off when switched off , not on again until next time used . So over the last 2 years have replaced brake ... The car will turn off the bas/ESP lights automatically once it is fixed. And I'm guessing yours is automatic as the braking you mentioned only seems to happen ...
